The first way to become — “Your Child’s Greatest Influencer” — is to build a great marriage with their mother. This is the best thing you can do for your spouse, but it also has an incredibly positive impact on your children.

Josh McDowell wisely stated, “The greatest thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother.”

And I’ll add, the most remarkable thing a mother can do for her children is to love their father. You’re welcome, gentlemen!

That’s why the Bible says, “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” (Ephesians 5:25)

Marriage thrives when both spouses put the other first, willing to serve and sacrifice for each other’s well-being.

To quote our worship pastor, Tom Beck, “Happy spouse, happy house!”

What is often missing in many marriages is a genuine dedication to making things work.

Marriages may start because of romance, but they finish because of commitment.

Fathers, the best thing you can do for your spouse, your children, and yourself is to become committed to building and sustaining a strong marriage.

I come from a long line of Jesus believers who made marriage work. My grandparents were married for over 70 years, my parents 50+ years, Anna and I just celebrated 28 years.
